One of the most influential of 20th century architects, Chareli-Edouard Jeanneret, who chose to be know as “Le Corbusier”, was also responsible for some of the Modern Movements best-known furniture. In collaboration with designer Charlotte Perriand and his architect cousin Pierre Jeanneret, he helped create machine age classics such as the LC2 “grand confort” armchair, the Basculant Sling chair and the chaise lounge chair. Free from any form of decoration, these tubular steel designs embody relaxed and timeless elegance.
Our reproductions of the Le Corbusier Loveseats include five models: the LC2, LC3, LC3-Down Feathers, and the Grande Confort. Each Loveseat frame is manufactured using high gauge tubular stainless steel. The frame is polished to a mirror finish with mitered frame corners ground to a soft radius. The feet have adjustable height glides. The webbing is 2" nylon with hooks to hold it the frames. We use full-grain, 100% aniline-dyed leather on all visible cushion surfaces. Inside each cushion is high resilient - high density polyurethane foam. A layer of Dacron Fiber Fill is added and foam densities are adjusted for additional sitting comfort. Feathers seat cushions may be orderd for an additional charge, or upgrade to the LC3-Down Feathers for the best alternative to the Cassina style loveseat.
A Modern Classic Furniture exclusive! We are now making a hybrid of the LC3 Grande Loveseat: we are fabricating the loveseat with taller legs. This hybrid loveseat sits 2.5 inches higher off the floor than the "official" style loveset, so that the seat height is about 17 inches, instead of the standard 15.5 inches.

Our standard leathers are full-grain, 100% aniline-dyed, corrected with a slight embossing. We do not use split hides leather. Leather thickness is generally 1.0 - 1.2 mm depending on application of seating component for stretching and tailoring the upholstery design and condition.

Below are the swatches of the Premium leather colors we offer for the Bauhaus, L’Epirit Nouveau and Mid-Century Modern Collestions. There is generally a 12% up-charge for all Premium Leathers. Our Premium leathers are full-grain, 100% aniline-dyed. Our Premium grade leathers have a soft feel to them and much of the hides natural grain patterns are retained. They are also a little shinier than the Standard Leather. Premium leather thickness is generally the same the standard leather: 1.0 - 1.2 mm depending on application of seating component for stretching and tailoring the upholstery design and condition.
