The Corona Chair was first produced by the Danish designer Paul Volther in the early 1960"s, and received instant praise. Originally made from solid oak, experimentation with various materials led Volther to re-release it a year later crafted from steel. This version remains a popular choice today, thanks to its seemingly suspended and unique look that"s met by impeccable comfort. The Paul Volther Corona Chair & Footstool are of high quality inspired by Volther"s designs. The Corona Chair is frequently featured on the hit show "Mad Men" and received its first acclamation when the chair was launched in 1964. The Paul Volther Corona Footstool are of high quality inspired by Volther"s designs.

Our Volther inspired Footstool features Cal 117 foam, stainless steel flat bar and high quality Italian leather. Unlike the chair, the footstool is stationary and does not rotate.

  • Have a UV and Moisture Guard built into the non-toxic vegetable dyes
  • Are not split hides or bonded leather

Our Smooth Premium leathers are top-grain, aniline-dyed, have a soft feel to them and most of the hides natural grain patterns are retained. Our Distressed Leathers (denoted with the prefix L5) are also top-grain, aniline-dyed but have a distressed look to them. L5 leathers will show rubbings and have a more waxy feel.
